Watch: Ramandeep takes stunning one-handed catch during India A vs Pakistan A

India A’s Ramandeep Singh produced a moment of brilliance to dismiss Pakistan A’s Yasir Khan during their Emerging Asia Cup clash on October 19. The diving catch, which turned a certain boundary into a wicket, left spectators at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Oman awestruck. Ramandeep’s athletic effort came at a crucial moment in Pakistan A’s 183-run chase, effectively turning the game in India A’s favour.

India A had earlier posted a total of 183 runs, thanks to solid contributions from skipper Tilak Verma and opener Prabhsimran Singh. However, it was the side’s sharp fielding and disciplined bowling that ultimately secured the win. As Pakistan A’s wickets tumbled and the required run rate began to climb, opener Yasir Khan attempted to accelerate the scoring by targeting spinner Nishant Sandhu. In an effort to break the shackles, Yasir went for a big hit, but his hopes were dashed when Ramandeep’s acrobatic effort sent him back to the pavilion.

This pivotal dismissal further derailed Pakistan A’s run chase. Yasir’s wicket put enormous pressure on the middle-order batters, and despite a valiant knock from Arafat Minhas and a brief cameo from Abdul Samad, the team struggled to recover. The India A bowling attack, led by Anshul Kamboj, was equally impressive. Kamboj delivered a standout performance, taking 3 wickets for 33 runs, ensuring Pakistan A never gained momentum, and his recurring breakthroughs stifled any hopes of a comeback and winning the clasg by 7 runs.

On top of huge confidence from this win against their arch-rivals, Tilak Verma’s India A will now look forward to their next group-stage match against the UAE on October 21. The team’s well-rounded performance—highlighted by Ramandeep’s sensational catch—will boost their confidence as they aim to advance in the Emerging Asia Cup.
