The entire India is eagerly waiting for the highly-anticipated Ram Temple ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony in Ayodhya, which will be held on Monday. Vedic rituals for the ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya began on Tuesday, a week before the main ceremony. Several celebrities, including members of the Indian sports fraternity have received the invitation for the auspicious occasion. On the eve of the ceremony, South Africa spinner Keshav Maharaj extended his good wishes to India and prayed for the peace and harmony in the country.
Taking to Instagram, Maharaj posted a video on his story, where he said, “Namaste, I just want to wish my Indian community here in South Africa. All the best for the inauguration of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya tomorrow. May it bring peace, harmony and spiritual enlightenment to all. Jai Shree Ram.”

Earlier this month, Maharaj also grabbed a lot of limelight after he requested the DJ to play the song, “Ram Siya Ram Jai Jai Ram” when he came to bat during the second Test against India.
“It was obviously something I put forward to the media lady and requested that song to be played,” Maharaj had told PTI.
“For me, God’s been my greatest blessing and if I get an opportunity it’s the least I can do and it gets you in the zone and get that respect from other players. Respecting religion and culture is important but it’s a nice feeling to hear ‘Ram Siya Ram’ being played in the background,” he added.
Talking about the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, legendary Indian bowlers Anil Kumble and Venkatesh Prasad have reached Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh to attend the celebration.
Besides Anil and Venkatesh, some other star cricketers who have received the invitation to attend the event are MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Mithali Raj, Harmanpreet Kaur and Ravichandran Ashwin.
