Former India batter Aakash Chopra said a lot of things will automatically get sorted if wicket-keeping batter Rishabh Pant becomes fit for the 2024 season of the Indian Premier League.

In December 2022, Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant experienced a life-threatening car accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. The severity of the crash led to multiple injuries, including cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee, and damage to his right wrist, ankle, toe, as well as abrasions on his back. Fortunately, his brain and spinal cord remained unaffected.
Pant’s accident had significant repercussions for his cricketing career, ruling him out of major tournaments such as the IPL 2023, where he was the captain of the Delhi Capitals, the Asia Cup, and the World Cup scheduled for the same year. However, there’s a possibility of Pant returning for IPL 2024.
Speaking on his Youtube channel, Chopra said DC are trying to correct the things that went wrong last season and Pant’s availability would solve a lot of issues. DC finished ninth in the IPL 2023 points table.
“Whatever they were doing was not right. There was a lack of intent in the powerplay, no one was trying to hit. Plenty of things were wrong last year and they are trying to correct them. They are doing that with a huge hope that Rishabh Pant becomes available. If Rishabh Pant is available, a lot of things get sorted out automatically,” said Chopra.
