Don’t see this often! Pakistan’s Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan complete rare all-run four against Bangladesh – Watch | Cricket News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: In a rare and exhilarating moment during the second day’s play of the first Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh in Rawalpindi, Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan completed an all-run four, showcasing their agility and understanding at the crease. This unusual feat highlighted a dominant partnership that helped Pakistan reach 256/4 at lunch on Day 2.
The incident occurred in the 49th over of Pakistan’s innings.
Scorecard: Pakistan vs Bangladesh, 1st Test
Bangladesh pacer Nahid Rana bowled a fast delivery at 147.6 km/h, which was driven by Shakeel straight towards mid-off. Fielder Shoriful Islam managed to get a hand on the ball, slowing it down significantly, but it still headed toward the boundary.
However, it fell short, allowing the batsmen enough time to complete four runs without the ball reaching the fence. Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto chased down the ball from mid-on, but by then, Shakeel and Rizwan had seized the opportunity to run all four.

This rare all-run four was a testament to the sharp running between the wickets and the clear communication between Shakeel and Rizwan. The two batters, who have put Pakistan in a commanding position, demonstrated not only their skill with the bat but also their cricketing awareness.
Shakeel, who remained unbeaten on 86 from 169 balls, and Rizwan, not out on 89 from 129 deliveries, played pivotal roles in resurrecting Pakistan’s innings after a shaky start.
Pakistan had been in trouble on the first day, losing three wickets for just 16 runs. However, a solid 98-run stand between Shakeel and Saim Ayub (56 off 98) for the fourth wicket laid the foundation for the hosts to fight back.
Their ongoing partnership for the fifth wicket has now surpassed 100 runs, putting Pakistan in a strong position as they look to build a substantial lead against Bangladesh.
