The internal story behind Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi’s inappropriate behaviour towards his coaches has come to light.

During the England tour, Afridi had a heated exchange with batting coach Mohammad Yousuf, leading to a complaint filed with PCB Chairman.

The incident occurred when Yousuf pointed out no-balls while Afridi was bowling in the nets at Headingley. Afridi responded angrily, telling Yousuf to focus on his coaching duties and let him bowl as he wished.

Following this, senior team manager Wahab Riaz reprimanded Afridi, who then apologised to the former legendary cricketer.

According to media reports, the team management confirmed that the argument was a result of the “heat of the moment” and was resolved immediately, hence not officially reported.

Sources stated that such disputes are common during long tours and are usually settled internally.
