Just six players remain in the World Poker Tour (WPT) Montreal Championship in Canada, an event that drew 882 entrants for a prize pool of $2,071,642.
The WPT Montreal festival, running May 9-22, also includes WPT Prime Montreal, which is down to a final table headlined by WPT ambassador and poker vlogger Brad Owen that can be viewed on YouTube.
Moldova’s Dan Stavila is at both final tables as he looks to win back-to-back televised events in Montreal, first in today’s Prime event and in the WPT Montreal Championship on May 22 at 4 p.m. local time.

The final table was set with the seventh-place elimination of Nektarios Papadede on Day 3 as he ran jacks into kings of Tommy Nguyen, who wound up second in chips as he looks for another big score after winning the 2018 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Monster Stack for $1,037,451.
Others at the final table include fellow Canadian Tamer Alkamli and Dongwoo Ko, who managed to bag the tournament chip lead for three consecutive days. The 23-year-old Korean who now lives in Canada is guaranteed to best his previous largest score of $51,414 and will look to win six times that as he chases the $319,217 up top.
Rounding out the final six are New York’s Charles Kassin and Quebec’s Rayan Chamas, who is seeking a WPT title after finishing runner-up in last year’s WPT Seminole Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open for $600,000.
The live-streamed final table will be on a 30-minute delay with action kicking off on the WPT YouTube channel on May 22 at 4:30 p.m.
