Big Night Ahead as Team Spraggy Eyes SCOOP League Comeback

Another day of action in the 2024 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) on PokerStars is in the books and all eyes are on the intensifying race to the inaugural SCOOP League title.

A total of 16 champions were crowned last night, including a second in two days for Andras “probirs” Nemeth, with PokerStars Ambassador Lex Veldhuis having another good night, making Day 2 of the SCOOP 50-M: $530 Wednesday Mystery after this entertaining hand with just five minutes left in the day.

SCOOP League Race Hots Up

The SCOOP League has so far been an exciting addition to the festival, with fans and players able to get in on the action with one of four potential freerolls. Players have until May 20 to register, so click here for more details!

On the tables, the race to top the inaugural standings is getting tense. Lex Veldhuis still leads, with a 1,400-point margin over Spraggy in second, with Tonkaaaa and Fintan further behind.

However, as always, there are events tonight that might help Spraggy put a dent in that lead!

Team Points
Lex 6,690
Spraggy 5,220
Tonkaaaa 3,450
Fintan 2,885

All Eyes Turn to Razz

One of the best things about SCOOP is that it’s not just No-Limit Hold’em. There are plenty of mixed game tournaments sprinkled throughout the schedule, and last night saw three Razz tournaments get underway.

And all eyes will be on the High and Medium final tables tonight with Spraggy’s leading SCOOP League points scorer “FAL1st” at both of them.

SCOOP 60-H: $1,050 Razz Top 10 Chip Counts

In the High event, “FAL1st” holds the chip lead with eleven players remaining. However, he will have to fight of competition from three other players from Team Lex who are close behind him. The players from third to fourth in chips are all from the Dutchman’s team, and collectively have won 19 SCOOP titles between them including the ten of Benny “RunGodlike” Glaser (pictured)

Also through to the final day are WSOP bracelet winner Adam “Adamyid” Owen, Mason “Pye_Face21” Pye and, fresh from his sixth-place finish in the EPT Monte Carlo Main Event, Niclas “Flushiisback” Thumm.
