Royal Challengers Bengaluru finally recorded their second win of the season by beating the high-flying Sunrisers Hyderabad by 35 runs. RCB batted first and scored 206/7 in 20 overs They then dismissed all of SRH’s big guns within the first 10 overs, thus making the next 10 a foregone conclusion. (PTI)

Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis got RCB off to a flying start after they won the toss and chose to bat first. The pair put up 48 runs in 3.5 overs before Du Plessis fell for 25 off 12 balls to Natarajan. RCB ended up smashing 61 runs in the powerplay, with Kohli creaming 32 runs in just 18 balls. (AFP)

SRH’s bowlers then put a chokehold on RCB after the powerplay. The visitors were pretty much bailed out of a defeat due to that period by Rajat Patidar who smashed 50 in 20 balls, including four consecutive sixes in the 11th over of the bowling of Mayank Markande. (PTI)

Virat Kohli cut a frustrated figure after the powerplay. The former RCB could not hit a single boundary after the sixth over and ended up being dismissed trying to hit out in the 15th over, having eaten up 43 balls for just 51 runs. (ANI)

It was Jaydev Unadkat who took Kohli’s wicket. Playing in his 100th IPL match, Unadkat recorded figures of 3/30. However, despite his efforts and Kohli’s innings, Cameron Green’s unbeaten 37 off 20, coupled with handy cameos from Dinesh Karthik and Swapnil Singh helped RCB cross the 200-run mark. (AP)

Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen both fell in the fifth over to debutant Swapnil and SRH thus lost four wickets and their four biggest hitters in the powerplay.
