Pan American Games 2023 is witnessing US’ hegemony in the Americas as the country’s athletes are nearing a 100-medal win. Other contenders Mexico, Canada and Brazil lag far behind with US all set to top the table like in previous editions. Day 3 was dominated by US athletes in shooting, water ski and rowing. Regina Jaquess and Nate Smith secured gold medals in water ski.
Meanwhile, Chile are trying to win a rich haul of medals as hosts of the ongoing edition. They are currently among the top 10 teams in the medal tally, but they would be looking to punch their way into the top five.
