The 2022 NCAA volleyball tournament began Dec. 1 and will crown a champion in Omaha, Nebraska, next week, but Wisconsin won’t be defending its title.
The No. 1-seeded Badgers fell to No. 2 Pitt 3-2 in Saturday night’s regional final at Madison, Wisconsin, just the first upset of the night. No. 2 San Diego stunned No. 1 Stanford in the night’s last quarterfinal as the Toreros earned their first trip to the national semifinals.
Texas, the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament, advanced to the semifinals by topping Ohio State 3-1. The Longhorns are looking to win their first national championship since 2012. Louisville, also a No. 1 seed, heads to the semis after edging No. 3 Oregon 3-2.
The semifinals and championship are Dec. 15-17.
