Captain Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan’s half-centuries powered a record chase for India in their first T20I against Australia in Visakhapatnam. The job was far from done when the two captains were dismissed though and Rinku Singh did the perfect finishing act to give India a 1-0 lead in a thrilling finish to the first T20I. Australia batted first and scored 208/3 thanks to a 50-ball 110 from Josh Inglis. (PTI)

Australia got off to a quick start thanks to Steve Smith but while he was later curtailed, Josh Inglis upped the ante. He ended up racing past his first T20I half-century and converted that into a century in just 47 balls, equalling Aaron Finch’s record for fastest T20I ton by an Australian. (AP)

Inglis fell on 110 off 50 after which Arshdeep Singh and Mukesh Kumar pulled things back for India. Mukesh conceded just five runs in the last over and Australia were 208/3 in 20 overs.(PTI)
