Captain Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan’s half-centuries powered a record chase for India in their first T20I against Australia in Visakhapatnam. The job was far from done when the two captains were dismissed though and Rinku Singh did the perfect finishing act to give India a 1-0 lead in a thrilling finish to the first T20I. Australia batted first and scored 208/3 thanks to a 50-ball 110 from Josh Inglis. (PTI)

Rinku Singh did the finishing for India although the match suddenly became a thriller in the last over after Axar Patel fell off the third ball. India had needed two to win off three balls and it came down to them needing one off the last ball. Rinku hit a six but Sean Abbott had overstepped for the delivery, which meant that only the run for the no ball counted. Rinku finished on 22 off 14. (AFP)
