The stolen vehicles were among those initially flagged as part of a 2023 investigation. The aforementioned agencies teamed with Peel Regional Police to intercept 24 vehicles valued at about $2.1 million, including a Rolls-Royce valued at about $500,000; however, authorities were unable to have two shipping containers carrying the four vehicles returned before reaching Dubai, Halton cops said.

The two containers were eventually re-routed to Canada and in late January Halton cops took custody of the containers, carrying one Lexus SUV initially stolen from Halton, two Ford F-150s stolen from Peel Region and Toronto and a Range Rover also stolen from Peel Region.
An investigation into the thefts is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call the police at 905-825-4777, Ext. 3407, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
