In a post on Facebook, the Murrieta Police Department noted the suspects left in a black vehicle “only to be contacted minutes later by police while they were still sitting in the car, outside their home, just 1 mile away.”
“The stolen merchandise was in plain sight inside the vehicle and both women were transported to the #ByrdHouse on numerous charges,” Murrieta police stated.
“For sure woulda been easier to just buy the products with the credit card that was in the phone case,” the police added humoursly.
Fox News identified the two accused as Haydrianna Hall, 24, and Serenadi Banks, 19.
The pair was taken to jail and later posted bail, which was set at $5,000 each.
