NEW DELHI: Ravindra Jadeja, the all-rounder, has been relishing his time away from the cricket field. His last appearance was during the 2024 T20 World Cup, where India emerged victorious against South Africa by seven runs in the final held in Barbados on June 29.
After the 35-year-old announced his retirement from T20 cricket, he was not included in India’s squad for the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, which Sri Lanka won 2-0, with one match resulting in a tie.
On Monday, September 2, Ravindra Jadeja shared a photograph with his mare on Instagram, captioning it, “She’s very good at posing #poser.”
In response to the post, Shikhar Dhawan left a playful comment, stating, “Better then you.”
Dhawan, on Saturday, August 24, announced his retirement from both international and domestic cricket. In a video message, the left-handed batsman expressed:
“It’s important to turn the page to move forward in life and that’s why I am announcing my retirement from international and domestic cricket. I am leaving with peace in my heart that I played so long for India. I’ve told myself, ‘Don’t feel sad that you won’t play for India anymore, but feel happy that you played for the country.’

Throughout his career, the 38-year-old represented India in 34 Test matches, 167 ODIs, and 68 T20Is, accumulating a total of 10,867 runs across all formats and scoring 24 centuries.
