BENGALURU: Saturday’s match between RCB and CSK will be played on the same strip on which RCB hosted PBKS and KKR. RCB won the first tie and went down to KKR, who chased down 182 with plenty to spare. Needless to say, death bowling on either side will be crucial.
RCB have upped their game in the latter half of the season while CSK — in the absence of Matheesha Pathirana and Mustafizur Rahman — have worked around their lack of resources, with Simranjeet Singh emerging as one of the takeaways.

CSK’s bowling coach Dwayne Bravo said, “I don’t want to give our plans away but at the same time I think last season and this season have been very good with a fairly youngish bowling group.”
Bravo agreed that bowling at the death could prove decisive again on Saturday night.
“Death bowling in T20 cricket is very important and most times it defines the result and outcome of the game. We prepare the same way we prepare for every team. We prepare well as a bowling group, we have very good plans. RCB will have to really try to beat us off our plans,” reckoned Bravo.
