NEW DELHI: Kolkata Knight Riders star all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer on Sunday married Shruti Raghunathan, surrounded by their loved ones.
The couple had previously gotten engaged in November 2023.
The franchise took to X to extend their well wishes to the all-rounder.

In the recently concluded IPL, Venkatesh starred in the summit clash, scoring an unbeaten 52 off just 26 deliveries, which included four boundaries and three sixes.His impressive strike rate of 200 played a crucial role in KKR‘s swift run chase of 114, which they accomplished in just over 10 overs against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
In the 2024 edition of the league, Venkatesh amassed 370 runs at an impressive average of 46.25 and a strike rate of over 158. He notched up four half-centuries, with a highest score of 70.
The 29-year-old boasts an impressive record in the IPL playoffs with KKR. In the 2021 eliminator against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, he contributed 26 runs off 30 balls, aiding KKR’s victory. In the second qualifier against Delhi Capitals and the final against Chennai Super Kings, Iyer scored 55 off 41 balls (four boundaries and three sixes) and 50 off 32 balls (five fours and three sixes), respectively, despite KKR’s 27-run loss to CSK in the final.
Across five knockout stage matches, Iyer has amassed 232 runs at an impressive average of 77.33, including four half-centuries, with a best score of 55.
Only CSK’s Suresh Raina has scored more fifty-plus scores (seven in total) in the IPL knockout stages.
In the IPL 2024 final, Iyer played a match-winning knock of 52* off 26 balls, marking his fourth consecutive fifty-plus score in IPL playoffs/knockouts, surpassing Lendl Simmons of Mumbai Indians, who had achieved three such scores.
