Tokyo Olympic 10,000m bronze medallist, Jacob Kiplimo crashed the World 15km Record at the NN Zevenheuvelenloop on Sunday (17) in Netherlands.
The 24 year-old who is also the double World Cross Country champion smashed the old course record of 41:05, set six years ago by his compatriot, the world 10,000m record holder, Joshua Chepetegei with a new course record of 40:42.

Cheptegei who was defending his title after equaling the record time last year, was followed in second place a distant later by the Dutch 5000m record holder, Mike Foppen in 43:19 with Marc Scott closing the podium in 43:21.
Japan’s Rui Aoki and Kenya’s Mathew Kiplimo finished in fourth and fifth in respective time of 43:21 and 43:23.
