In a stunning display of power and resilience, Brisbane Heat’s Grace Harris struck a six with a broken bat during the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) match against the Perth Scorchers at North Sydney Oval on Saturday.
Harris was facing Piepa Cleary in the 14th over when she connected with a delivery that sent the ball sailing over the boundary rope. The impact of the shot was so great that it caused her bat to snap in half.

Despite the damage to her bat, Harris was able to get six runs, much to the astonishment of her teammates and the crowd.
The six was a pivotal moment in the match, as she went on to score 136 off just 59 balls and helped her team put up 229 on the board.
